This kettle is perfect for 2. Heats up really fast. Only downside is that the steam on the lid and around lid is too hot. To avoid steam burn to my hand, I have to handle the kettle handle farthest away from the steaming lid.

Took this on a trip and while isolating myself used this little hot pot to boil water quickly as well as to heat up soup and other edible items. Easy to use and easy to clean. Great to have – bought another.

I bring this with me on all my trips. It makes a perfect pour over and it is extremely safe and efficient. It also fits neatly into a small bag with all the other things I bring to make a perfect cup of coffee.

So far we took this kettle into only 1 trip, and it was good. The reason I gave 4 starts and not 5 is smell (it was also mentioned in other comments). To be fair, the smell didn’t affect the taste: water was ok and didn’t smell, so it was only the kettle itself.

Fast delivery. Cleaned it according to the instructions. Works great! I even filled water a bit above the max line and it was just fine. Not suggesting thou. Shuts off automatically once the water starts boiling. Entire pot outside stays mostly cool including the handle. It took 3 mins to boil. I do watch while using just in case. Do not let the bottom elec cord part get wet as with any elec appliances you should not. Makes 2 full cups of tea. Not heavy, nice color & well made. Love it so far & am sure this will last. Would recommend!!
Update: I had this kettle for just 3 days. On 2nd boil of water saw small white patches at the bottom of the kettle. The kettle smelled horrible. After a few more boils of water, it got more patches at the bottom of the kettle 3/4 way. Still smells but not as bad. Today I soaked it in vinegar & baking soda & let it stand for 15-20 mins. Not a dent. I like the kettle, guess will keep it, but am still disappointed for the spending $40 plus with tax and this is what I get. If it’s stainless, this shouldn’t happen. Feels like it’s peeling off at the bottom, but no idea. Hope it’s safe to use thou. Due to this dropping 5 star rating to 3 star.

Bought specifically to use to heat hot water in a Roomette on Amtrak and it worked great. Water heats quickly and it’s small enough to fit in luggage. Downside is that bottom doesn’t detach as it does on larger electric kettles but the small size compensates.

I’ve been using a large 1.7 liter electric kettle for 15 years to make hot water for my coffee every morning. Now, with my IronRen, it’s smaller, not heavy, has a stainless steel interior, boils water in 3 minutes, easy to clean and takes up less space on my counter. It’s the perfect water kettle to use daily for me. Glad I made the switch.

This looks great for making a lipton noodle pack or dehydrated mashed potatoes (my go to when camping) and this little pot means dinner can be had at campsites that don’t allow campfires but have outlets.
I did dremel off the sides of the base unit so that it fits INSIDE the pot.
Pack out what you pack in. But don’t pack air…

Hubby was going on a trip and staying at one of those “fancy” hotels that don’t have coffee makers in the room because they want you to go down to the lobby and buy $7.50 coffee in a paper cup. Ordered this little unit (was a bit pricy but he’s worth it!!!) since it was perfect sized capacity for his thermal cup. A box of Starb’s instant coffee packages (lucky we drink black coffee) and he was all set. Fit well in his suitcase. Spoke with him on his trip and he’s raving about it. Water heats up very rapidly. Good buy and recommended by very undomestic husband on his business trip.
