We bought this after our old pet fountain’s pump quit working. From the start, this one is better designed to filter the water & always provide clean, fresh water for our cat & dog. The pump has a designated spot in the bottom container, complete with little walls so that it will be properly aligned to draw water through the filter-sponge, and that the outflow fits properly into the spout on top. It has a light inside it (also with a designated place) so we can always see the water level to keep it filled, and it provides a nice night glow for us and for our pets. The water itself flows through the main carbon filter which fits into the bracket that holds up the top tray. So the water that is trickling from the “flower” spout collects in the basin in that top tray, gravity causes it to fall through the carbon filter into the container where it is again filtered by the sponge before entering the pump to be cycled up the spout again. Our old filter used to collect dirt and debris in its basin, and didn’t have the benefit of the carbon filter straining all of the water like this one does.
We CAN hear this one – but it simply sounds like a babbling brook or some sort of decorative fountain – and we have it set up with the “flower” spout so the water does trickle down, creating that sound. We haven’t yet tried it with the spout that just bubbles up; I suspect that would be quieter. I gave it 3 stars for noise level just because it isn’t a silent fountain. The sound is calming to me, but I know not everyone likes the sound of water babbling.
Overall, after a week of use, we’re very happy with this fountain. Our pets like it too; our cat is much less fussy about the water bowl now.

It¡¯s not terribly load but do hear water running. It took me a while to adjust to it and not be constantly looking for a faucet left on. I purchased this because my cat decided she would o my drink out of the bathroom faucet and we were tired of her jumping in the sink every time we wanted to use it. Used the tall fountain attachment first and my crazy cat was terrified of it. Switched to the short attachment and she will now drink out of it but with caution. It¡¯s frustrating but understandable as we recently moved out of the only home she¡¯s ever known, spent 5 hours on a plane, and 5 hours in a car to get to our current house. I guess she has the right to be moody.

Just got this in today. It’s so pretty. Love that blue glowing light. I love how easy it is to clean. The cats approved right away. They usually beg me to turn on the water faucet all day long and that gets old fast. So I decided to get them a fountain. Every one I’ve had in the past were different and difficult to clean. Such as getting into the small areas to clean. But this is looks like I’ll have no issues.

I like this little cat fountain – it’s colorful and cheery, the cat appreciates the running water, it holds a good amount of water, and the sound of running water is nice to have in the house. It lights up – there’s a bright blue LED light in the water tank that helps me keep track of how much water remains. The fountain was easy to assemble and has worked well so far.

Personally, the noise volume is a moderate sound of trickling water. I love that sound so it’s no bother to me. You can’t hear the motor unless the water levels get too low.
My cats hated the flower attachment for fear of getting splashed so I had to switch it out with the small guzzler piece. Doesn’t look as pretty but if the cats drink more water with it I can deal.
Overall: great buy! Pretty cute addition to the kitchen and I love it.

I owned the old version of this water fountain, i loved it! The only issue was the old model doesn¡¯t have the water level so i just randomly add water, sometime i overfilled and the water could spill all over the carpet. I have four pets at home so i figured i should just get one more so that i don¡¯t have to refill so often, i have to say i like the new model even better! Very nice fountain. Our 6 cats love it! It is fairly quiet, just the burble of the water flowing. The soft lighting is nice so I don’t trip over it in the dark. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it doesn’t shut off when it runs out of water. There is an easy to read water level gauge on the front, but with 6 cats it runs out overnight sometimes. So far no issues with it running dry.

My cat instantly took to the fountain and started using it daily with no issue. I also really appreciated the splash pad as replacing the water does tend to make a very small drip puddle on the floor. It’s a bit loud and only comes with two replacement filters. For context the manual suggests replacing the charcoal filter every 2-4 weeks, so you will run out quickly. You will probably be refilling the base every 2-4 days based on my personal experience, which was much easier than once a day that I was doing before with my cat’s bowl. Overall great buy and extremely cheap for how easy it was to install and effective it was!
